Keling Medical was founded in 1996 in Jiangsu, China. Today it designs and builds operating tables, surgical lights, pendants, beds and 300 more models, and exports more than 40% of what it makes.

Science first, then scale

Keling started in 1996 as a maker of operating tables and operating lamps. It grew by putting technology first and treating management as a discipline, and earned recognition as a National High-Tech Enterprise and a Chinese Well-Known Trademark.

The group now works through two companies. Jiangsu Keling Medical Appliances Co., Ltd. in Yangzhou is the R&D and production centre. Shanghai Keling International Trading Co., Ltd. is the sales and export centre. Around 300 people work across both, 40% of them specialised technicians.

Products are sold throughout China and in Europe, Africa, the Middle East, Southeast Asia and South America. Keling has won tenders for UNICEF, China’s Ministry of Health and the National Population and Family Planning Commission of China, with annual sales of more than 52 million US dollars.
